Lovely meal at Neil’s Tavern in Bangkok, opened in 1969 and named after Neil Armstrong. Lots of dark wood panelling and memorabilia on the walls.

I had Steak A La Neil, pricey but well worth it. Baked Alaska for dessert, which we shared and to finish Dad had an Irish Coffee. As you might know Nigel makes a mean Irish Coffee but this was a work of art made next to our table, with crystallised sugar on the outside of the glass (it seems there is a special technique to remove involving lemons), lots of Jamesons Whiskey, coffee and cream with a number of flaming alcohol moments!
