Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Unusually a showery day for our visit. Took a walk around the port of Road Town, saw many small lizards, lots of jewellery shops and boats galore. Ended our visit with a few beers in one of the local bars.
St Marteen
Moored in Philipsburg alongside the enormous Odyssey of the Seas, although at roughly 4,000 passengers, by no means the largest cruise ship. We have been here before when we did the Island tour, which includes Maho Beach, where the planes fly very low over to the nearby runway. It is an Island of two parts, Dutch and French and we docked in the Dutch side. Extremely windy day, took a walk around and picked up some supplies of tonic, rum and Cointreau for our 6 sea days, before our next port of Madeira.
