After a lovely few days catching up with our friends Andy & Mary we set off for Tewkesbury.
Stopped off first at Old Sarum a former castle now in ruins with fabulous views of Salisbury.
Took a drive past White Horse Hill and stopped to see if we could get a better view but I think we needed a drone!!
Next Chedworth Roman Villa which has some fantastic mosaic flooring and a small museum on site. Good examples of hypercaust heating, pillars supporting a floor and hot air from heating wood is circulated through the spaces between the pillars (underfloor heating in the modern world)!
