Another on Nigel’s Bucket List to see the Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral (only a copy as original under lock and key somewhere safe). We took a guided tour of the Cathedral first with our guides Graham and Sue. Dating from the 1300s with bits added on over time. People have been worshipping on this site though for more than 900 years. Lovely Ascension Window and memorial to the SAS. Really good tour and would definitely recommend if you are in the area. The Mappa Mundi is originally on calf skin again in the 1300s but was a representation of what they thought the world looked like at that time!
