Arrived into NY later than anticipated yesterday. Only a 5 min walk from Penn Station, once we had worked out the exit we needed, despite the lack of signage, to our hotel. Doubletree Hilton Times Square South, really good price, small room but everything you would need for a couple of nights.

Headed for the Rooftop Bar for a bite to eat and the odd drink or two. Fabulous view of Empire State Building, the Edge (has highest outdoor platform in Western Hemisphere) and the Hell’s Kitchen area.

USS Intrepid was Nigel’s treat this morning, lots of aircraft on the carrier including a Concorde, which is being sent for restoration in a week or so, the Enterprise Space Shuttle and the SR71 and lots of others.

Took a long taxi ride to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, terrible traffic, to join the Queen Mary 2, for the final leg of our adventure. We were last on this ship in Jan 2020, at the start of our World adventures, which was short lived due to Covid 19.
